Audit Senior (Finalist) - BankingOur client, a prestigious international firm, is seeking an Audit Senior or final year audit trainee to join their Banking team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of one of the few established teams in the banking sector outside of the Big 4.The firm are an accredited Investor in People, committed to fostering a balanced work-life culture and providing robust support for career progression. Their succession planning training programme ensures employees receive the guidance needed to advance within the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed audit planning memorandums, highlighting potential challenges based on previous audits.
  • Assign tasks to junior staff, provide clear instructions, and address queries.
  • Conduct audits in line with MHA audit procedures, with guidance from senior staff.
  • Monitor job progress, manage budgets, and address issues to ensure audits are completed within the set budget and timeframe.
  • Supervise and review the work of junior staff, completing sections as necessary.
  • Accurately record all client-related hours to reflect the job's profitability.
  • Finalise audit sections, resolve any issues or queries, and prepare the file for Manager/Partner review.
  • Draft client letters.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • ACA or ACCA finalist.
  • Experience in UK audit.
  • Proficient in accounts preparation.
  • Ability to lead audits from planning to completion.
  • Experience in supervising junior staff (minimum 12 months).
