Butler Rose is working with one of the largest housing associations in London and the south-east in their search for a Capital Accountant to join their team. This is a six month FTC with hybrid working in London and will pay upto £80,000 to the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead on all elements of fixed asset accounting, you will be seen as a key subject matter expert, providing guidance and challenge as part of the ongoing transformation initiatives.- Clean up and update the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring accuracy and compliance.- Analyse historical data, investigate discrepancies, and present clear findings.- Liaise with various teams to identify issues, provide actionable insights, and advise on required fixes.- Develop a programme for collecting, updating, maintaining, and managing the Group's Fixed Asset Register- Ensure that capital grant-funded assets adhere to grant terms, conditions and requirements- Leverage your data analysis expertise to enhance processes using Power BI and Excel.
Requirements:- Proven experience working with Fixed Assets Register and an understanding of how property is treated i.e. acquisitions and disposals on the property register.- Advanced data analysis skills, including proficiency with Power BI and Excel.- Knowledge and experience of SUN Systems are essential.- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively across teams and stakeholders.- Ideally, a fully qualified professional, but we are open to part-qualified candidates with relevant experience.
