We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join a leading Investment Management firm within the Operational Tax team as a CGT Administrator. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of Capital Gains Tax (CGT) rules, who is eager to further develop their skills within a dynamic financial services environment. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals, providing comprehensive tax support and gaining exposure to various tax-related processes.

About the Role:The CGT Administrator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of CGT-related data and supporting the delivery of high-quality operational tax services. Responsibilities include managing tax data, maintaining CGT records, and assisting in the production of tax reports. The role also involves investigating and resolving queries, as well as supporting tax and calendar year-end planning to ensure compliance and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input, verification, and management of tax-related data within internal systems.
  • Analysis and validation of CGT data using relevant tools.
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes to CGT rules and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Providing tax-related reports for various departments within the business.
  • Investigating and resolving CGT and general tax-related queries in a timely manner.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Basic knowledge of CGT rules and book cost calculations.
  • Familiarity with tax wrapper structures such as ISAs, SIPPs, and Offshore Bonds.
  • Experience in data management and maintaining robust controls.
  • Previous experience within wealth management or asset management is desirable.
  • Knowledge of using systems such as Pershing Nexus, CGiX, and IMiX is advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • 'A’ Level education preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in CGT or within a financial services role.
  • Holding the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) or equivalent qualifications would be beneficial.
