Client Accountant/Coordinator - City of London

Join my client, a highly successful and growing property business based in the City of London as a Lettings Client Accounts Coordinator, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring seamless financial operations and providing top-tier support to their valued clients and the wider Lettings team.Contact: Permanent | Full Time Salary: £35,000 per annum + annual discretionary bonusWorking Hours: Mon - Fri, 9am - 5.30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Coordination:
- Oversee daily landlord statement approvals and promptly send them upon request.
- Act as the primary contact for financial inquiries, handling sensitive matters with discretion.
- Generate, review, and manage invoices, landlord/tenant fees, and contractor payments.
- Compliance and Credit Control:
- Monitor rent arrears, ensuring adherence to Lettings legislation.
- Advise clients on rental arrears, legal notices, and collaborate with the Head of Tenancy Management for resolutions.
- Handle credit control, chase outstanding payments, and ensure compliance with all legal standards.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Approve and process deposit returns within 24 hours.
- Validate all renewal fees, rent demands, and charges prior to tenancy renewals.
- Implement and optimize systems to streamline daily tasks.
- Collaborative Support:
- Work closely with Lettings and Tenancy Management teams to address property issues and maintain portfolio efficiency.
- Step in to support team operations during absences.
- Attend team meetings and liaise with key stakeholders.
- Data Management and Compliance:
- Maintain up-to-date databases and paperless filing systems.
- Ensure accurate data entry, rectify discrepancies, and stay compliant with Lettings legislation.
- Previous experience in lettings administration or a related role.
- Outstanding communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively.
- Proficient in following processes with strong data entry and accuracy skills.
