I am working with an established client that operate within the Property Management space, based in Central London.

Working hybrid, 3 days in the office, 2 remote you will be in an immediate team of 4 within a larger Finance team in London HQ.

They are looking for an experienced Commercial Client Accountant on a 12 month fixed-term contract to manage one of their high profile London based portfolios.

This role is crucial for providing property management accounting services and service charge accounting for Investment Property Management. You will ensure that financial reporting aligns with best practice procedures and client requirements, delivered accurately and on time.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Draft and complete year-end service charge accounts, including prepayments and accruals.
  • Conduct tenant account reconciliations.
  • Prepare lease completion statements.
  • Raise tenant demands for rents, service charges, and ad-hoc charges.
  • Control, set up, and maintain records on Tramps.
  • Handle reconciliation and set up of take-on balances for new instructions.
  • Understand, agree, and deliver client reporting requirements.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc analysis using MS Excel (Vlookups & Pivot-tables).
  • Address queries from tenants and landlords promptly and effectively.
  • Work closely with surveying colleagues and on-site staff.
  • Liaise with Credit Control and Accounts Payable teams.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Attend client meetings to discuss and report on account status.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with a recognised property management accounts package, ideally Tramps.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel (to at least intermediate level), including Vlookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Professional and organised approach to work.
  • Positive and helpful attitude within a team environment.
  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience in Service Charge Accounting.
