Cobalt are excited to be working with a global real estate business based in London to secure a Client Accountant.

Our client is looking for an experienced finance professional with a strong background in property accounting, and will take ownership of the preparation and reporting of property portfolio, including service charge, rent and other operational costs.

Key Responsibilities,

  • Preparing robust reports for clients, ensuring all SLAs and KPIs are adhered to
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of service charge income and expenditure
  • Point of contact for client queries, providing support and advice where necessary
  • Internal point of contact for surveying colleagues
  • Maintain/Oversee housekeeping of property & leases data on financial database
  • Management of client and property cash-flow and funding
  • Annual property service charge reviews and liaise with Asset Manager and Service Charge Team to ensure completion within best practice guidelines
  • Instruct Treasury department (following the relevant approvals) of the following
  • Collection of monies
  • Amendments to Client Accounts
  • Payment of client property related transactions
  • General maintenance of client funds i.e. tenant refunds etc.

Required Experience,

  • Previous experience of client accounting
  • Financial and technical reporting experience
  • The ability to work in a varied and evolving department.
  • Part Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA)
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate with all levels within the business as well as clients.
  • Confidence with a positive outlook
  • Ethical with strong integrity
