VisionFR is delighted to be working with our client a multi-award winning creative and social media agency specialising in sponsorship and sport.

Working with Blue chip clients within the arena so a passion for sport would place you in good stead. Ideally you will be in a position to start relatively quickly, and ideally you will be qualified with a good understanding of working in a creative agency. An ability to Liaise with their clients on contracts would also stand you out amongst your competitors.

About the role:

You’ll be reporting into the Co-Founders and fractional CFO and have the support of a Junior Management Accountant. You will be responsible for the end-to-end financial operations, management accounting, financial reporting & compliance of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial management:

  • Commercial support, strategic analysis and decision support to the Co-founders, CFO and the rest of the Senior Management Team
  • Ensure all client and vendor contracts are financially and commercially robust
  • Work with client leads to ensure revenue and profit growth remain critical objectives

Management Accounting:

  • Responsible for producing timely and accurate month end accounts
  • Maintaining projects revenue reconciliations and project balance sheets
  • Managing the budget and reforecast process
  • Providing proactive and meaningful financial analysis

Financial reporting & compliance:

  • Responsible for preparing and submitting Statutory Accounts
  • Responsible for preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Responsible for preparing and submitting Corporate Tax Returns

Financial Operations.

  • Oversee the accounts payable & receivable function
  • Banking & working capital management
  • Maintaining our cash flow forecast highlighting risk
  • Day-to-day business approvals - expenses, OPEX, CAPEX
  • Ensure an appropriate control environment
  • Responsible for the review of the monthly payroll process (outsourced)
  • Internally resolving any issues that may arise from contractual arrangements, budgets, billings, expenses, payments as the first port of call

Team management:

  • Management of a Junior Management Accountant providing support, guidance, input and feedback

About you:

  • Qualified Accountant / Finalist - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Creative Agency experience essential
  • Naturally analytical with good attention to detail
  • Have experience with statutory accounts, corporation and VAT returns
  • Have experience producing management accounts
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Experience of paprika would be awesome but is not essential
  • A self- starter with a willingness to 'roll your sleeves up’
  • Adaptable to a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • An interest in sports and social media (and in emerging technologies)
