Our client is urgently seeking a Consolidation Accountant,Initial 5 Month contract and the position will require 3 days per week onsite. This position will require Active SC Clearance. Main Responsibilities as Consolidations Accountant:

  • Accounts Production: Play an important role in the production of accounts. Use technical expertise to prepare and submit complex journal adjustments, and produce individual notes and financial statements. Collaborate with team members and work at pace.
  • Audit Liaison: Work with National Audit Office staff to devise effective solutions and respond to complex queries.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders (both internal and external) to support successful Whole of Government Accounts (WGA) implementation.
  • Process Improvement: Seek and implement solutions to improve processes and systems, aiming for faster WGA delivery.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant
  • Extensive consolidations experience
  • Whole of Government Accounts (WGA) experience
  • Consolidations experience in a large government department
  • Understanding of complex financial interdependencies
