PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

An opportunity has arisen for a temporary role in the finance team, assisting the Finance and Tax Manager in the maintenance of a set of robust and consistent financial processes across the European organization.

Specific responsibilities include the maintenance and accuracy of a number of cost categories as part of the monthly close process, as well as the completion of balance sheet reconciliations for UK entities and European branches.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting the Finance and Tax Manager with the month end close process.
  • Responsible for maintaining analysis for various P&L cost categories.
  • Completing various monthly control processes as required.
  • Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Posting payroll entries into ledgers
  • Market data billing

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES ASSESSMENT

  • Qualified accountant (first time passes)
  • One year's+ post qualification accounting experience necessary
  • Advanced Excel knowledge (Pivot tables and VLOOKUP's)
  • Knowledge of Oracle accounting system beneficial but not required
  • Financial services experience beneficial
  • Able to demonstrate ability to manipulate large volumes of data
  • Commercially aware with a focus on cost control and analysis
