A large global and rapidly expanding company based in Central London is currently looking for a driven, motivated and highly experienced individual to join its large credit control team on a 12 month maternity contract. This role would suit candidates with a passion for working within a fast paced and demanding work environment, where your efforts are rewarded with an excellent bonus scheme paid monthly (from day one). The right candidate will have previous experience of working with large complex accounts, high values and high volumes, and a proven ability to build relationships with internal sales teams.

Reporting into the Credit Manager, your duties will include:

  • Responsibility for a complete and high value ledger worth £8-12 million per month
  • Chasing outstanding debt, ensuring all sums are paid within terms
  • Maintaining all customer accounts within designated credit limit and terms
  • Actioning all queries and disputed invoices
  • Dealing with high value blue chip clients
  • Reporting and preparing accounts for review by Management
  • Attend regular meetings with sales and other departments to minimise customer disputes
  • Setting up new accounts in sales ledger
  • Referring any problematic accounts, and preparing accounts for litigation
  • Visiting with clients as necessary to build strong relationships and resolve any outstanding queries

Skills/Experience required:

  • Available to start on short notice
  • Commercial B2B credit control experience, ideally within a large complex organisation
  • Experience of working with high value key accounts
  • Experience of working within a fast paced, pressurised and dynamic environment
  • Proven experience of working and building relationships with demanding internal sales teams
  • Good Excel skills (pivot tables/vlookups)
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written/oral/face to face)
  • Self motivated, driven character
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
