Data Analyst - (Qualified Accountant - ACCA/ACA/CIMA)

Job Type: Outside IR35 Contract
Salary: £300 - £365 per day
Duration: 2/3 Months Initial - with potential to be extended to a new project
We are looking for a Data Analyst with a strong accounting background to join our team. This role is heavily focused on financial data reconciliation rather than traditional accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) who excels in handling large datasets, reconciling financial data, and ensuring data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and reconcile financial data (not standard accounts payable or general ledger tasks).
- Work with large datasets to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Identify discrepancies in financial data movement and implement resolution strategies.
- Collaborate with finance and data teams to optimize data processes.
- Use analytical tools to extract, manipulate, and interpret financial datasets.
Key Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) - qualification must be complete.
- Proven experience in financial data reconciliation and working with large datasets.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data trends.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
