Adecco are supporting a London Borough Council team in a service role as a Education Finance Officer

Join a dynamic team in the education sector as an Education Finance Officer! Our client is a forward-thinking organisation dedicated to enhancing educational services. They are seeking a talented individual to support financial management functions. This temporary role provides an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of students, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

  • Manage overall financial resources for SEND, ensuring the effective implementation of new Schools Funding Arrangements (2013).
  • Coordinate and produce essential data for statutory returns to the DfE and respond to FOI requests, using systems such as Synergy and Liquid Logic.
  • Administer eligibility processes for free school meals, acting as a liaison between schools and parents.
  • A rewarding environment where your skills in budget monitoring, financial management, and teamwork will shine.

You are someone who is:

  • A confident communicator, adept at liaising with diverse stakeholders, including school staff and parents.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Excellent teamwork capabilities alongside a commitment to quality service delivery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Experience with financial systems (previous use of systems like Fusion is advantageous).
