Looking for a strong Technical Accountant for a 6 month contract with a TV/Film company in West London. Offering hybrid working with 2 days a week in the office, they are needing someone to start ASAP.

As the primary point of contact for technical accounting matters across the business, you will assess the impact of commercial decisions on monthly, budget, and forecast reporting. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Addressing queries related to revenue recognition.
  • Managing investment-related queries, including control assessments and acquisition/equity accounting.
  • Handling tax reporting and analysis.
  • Overseeing foreign exchange transactions and related matters.
  • Managing consolidation and elimination processes.
  • Assisting in weekly and monthly calculations to estimate the Group's foreign exchange exposure, including initiating trade requests, assessing hedging effectiveness, and preparing analysis and reporting on the Group's FX position.
  • Supporting the preparation of the parent company's accounts and coordinating the submission of year-end data, ensuring timely submission by collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Communicating with external auditors to address and resolve any queries and ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in accounting standards.
  • Collaborating with finance and tax teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and tax regulations across the Group.

Group finance experience and corporate tax accounting experience is essential for this role. You will need to have strong experience in all of the above areas having worked a similar role previously. ACA (or equivalent) qualified is required for this position.
