Finance Officer | 6 month (temp to perm) | Charity | £36k | 2 days a week in office

We are recruiting a Finance Officer to join a medium-sized charity going through a busy time. This role will initially be to manage a backlog of transactional finance but could well go permanent to increase capacity in the team. The role will require the candidate come in 2 days a week to their Central London office.Responsibilities will include;

  • Uploading relevant payments and processing credit card transactions
  • Processing all payments and monitoring bank accounts
  • Manage all petty cash and direct debits
  • Review and manage the inter-company reconciliations
  • Maintaining the finance email in-boxes and escalating any queries
  • Ensuring the accuracy of all transactions processed
  • Performing bank reconciliations and investigating unreconciled items
  • Act as a key point of contact across the organisation to investigate and resolve outstanding balances regarding company credit cards
  • Coding and posting of all purchase and sales ledger transactions

The ideal candidate will;

  • Have experience of working in a financial function at a similar level
  • Have some experience or exposure working within the charity sector
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ideally experience of Xero and/or NAV but not essential
