Reed have joined up with a local business who are looking for an Accounting Officer at a leading manufacturing facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of their operations, encompassing a range of financial and administrative tasks.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Order Planning: Issue purchase orders in the system, receive goods, and monitor order status.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor safety stock levels and ensure stock movement records are accurate, timely, and consistent.
  • Inventory Reconciliation: Align physical inventory with accounting books.
  • Compliance: Assist in maintaining the accuracy of the firearms register.
  • Internal Control: Manage the purchase order and stock cycles.
  • Project Involvement: Participate in ad hoc financial analysis and operational projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Experience with ERP software.
  • Background in accounting, semi-qualified or AAT preferred.
  • Proactive learning attitude, well-organised, and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Desirable:
    • Familiarity with Business Central.
    • Knowledge of diversified products.
    • Experience in manufacturing accounting.
    • Possession of a driving licence.
