The Role

We are looking for a Finance Officer to join our team at Westway Trust, where you will play a key role in maintaining our financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our finance department. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic charity that works to support and improve the lives of people in North Kensington.
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of finance tasks, ensuring the integrity of our sales, purchase, and cash ledgers. You will work closely with the Senior Finance Officer and Property Finance Officer to ensure that financial records are up to date and comply with all necessary standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Record and process supplier invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and act as the first point of contact for suppliers.
- Set up new suppliers and debtors in our system.
- Monitor invoice statuses and ensure all invoices are authorised through Focal Point.
- Keep the creditors and debtors lists updated, including managing sales ledger credit control.
- Prepare fortnightly electronic and manual payments, including payments to HMRC and other suppliers.
- Reconcile credit card statements, bank statements, and Euro car park accounts.
- Post income and expenses to accounting software and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with month-end postings, reconciliations, and annual budget preparations.
- Provide holiday cover and assist other members of the finance team during peak times.
- Perform any additional finance duties as required.

The Person
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a minimum of two years’ experience in a busy accounts department.
- Be highly numerate with a keen eye for detail.
- Have practical experience with MS Excel and computerised accounts systems.
- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
