We are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Officer to join a well-established organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and social work professionals. This role offers the chance to be part of a passionate finance team in a collaborative and empowering workplace.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Take ownership of the accounts payable function, ensuring the seamless and accurate processing of 30-40 invoices per week.
  • Oversee banking and financial administration, managing company credit cards and ensuring full compliance with financial policies.
  • Lead and optimise weekly payment processes, guaranteeing timely and accurate transactions that support strong financial operations.
  • Drive efficiency in accounts receivable while collaborating with teams to ensure precise financial coding and robust reporting.
  • Proactively resolve purchase invoice queries and enhance the expense claims process, streamlining systems for greater accuracy and compliance.

Based in central London, the role offers hybrid working allowing you to work from home three days per week. This organisation also offers flexible working, generous annual leave allowance and a competitive pension contribution.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience in an accounts payable role, processing invoices and expenses.
  • Possess a solid understanding of payment runs and bookkeeping principles.
  • Be confident in analysing invoices, identifying errors, and suggesting process improvements.
  • Demonstrate strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Communicate financial information effectively to non-finance colleagues.
  • Ideally have experience using Xero, though this is not essential.
