Your new companyWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Financial Accountant to join our clients team on a three-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting and be able to manage tasks independently. This role is perfect for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and has a passion for making a difference.

Your new role

Prepare financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance.
Perform reconciliations and manage year-end processes.
Utilise Sage 200 or similar accounting software for financial management.
Maintain and manage financial records accurately.
Assist with the preparation of audit files and liaise with auditors.
Support the finance team in various tasks as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

Essential: Qualified accountant with at least two years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting.
- Essential: Ability to manage and complete financial accounting tasks independently, including preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and year-end processes.
- Essential: Experience with Sage 200 or similar accounting software.
- Essential: Proficiency in Excel and MS Word.
Desirable: Experience working within a charity or not-for-profit organisation in a financial accounting role.
Desirable: Experience using SharePoint for document management or collaboration.
Desirable: Familiarity with charity sector regulations, including accounting standards and reporting requirements (e.g., Charity SORP).
