Investment bank is recruiting a Qualified Financial Accountant with a broad range of responsibilities including management reporting, budgets, forecasts, projects and audit duties. Reporting to the Head of Finance.

Client Details

Investment Bank that provides a range of services to both public and private companies, from equity raising in capital markets, to M&A, debt advisory and private growth capital. Based in London (City area).

Description

This role supports the business by providing excellent financial insight to aid senior management with decision making and to ensure that the company complies with Financial Service regulations.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Financial Accountant will have the following responsibilities include:

  • Management Reporting: Preparation of the monthly board pack for the Group's Board.
  • Annual Report: Preparing the bi-annual financial statements for the group and subsidiaries.
  • External Audit: Assisting with the external audit process.
  • FCA Reporting: Preparing accurate and timely regulatory report submissions.
  • Financial Planning: Co-ordinating the production of budgets and forecasts.
  • Banking: Bank reconciliations.
  • Projects: Help identify and deliver process improvements.

Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) - ideally first time passes
  • Experience in producing management reporting packs and/or audit experience
  • Proficiency with accounting software, eg SAP, Sage, etc
  • Advanced excel skills. SQL, PBI an advantage.
  • Strong academics and excellent communication skills
  • Organised with good time management skills
  • Able to produce work quickly with a low error rate whilst working to tight deadlines
