Financial Accountant

Your new companyA large Housing Association based in London are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team. Your new roleYou will be part of a team responsible for maintaining strong financial controls. Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare quarterly and annual statutory accounts with supporting schedules
• Manage the audit of your assigned group entities
• Reconcile entities' intercompany accounts, group investment and borrowings
• Support preparation and submission of all regulatory returns (FVA and Companies House)
• Maintain accurate data, managing large complex data sets on Excel and in-house systems

What you'll need to succeed

• You will be either CCAB qualified or a finalist with plans to qualify in the next 12-18 months
• Experience of working in a large or complex organisation
• Demonstrable experience of managing interim and year-end audits
• Extensive experience of regulatory financial returns and filings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
• Clear understanding of how to maintain strong financial controls

What you'll get in return

• Salary up to £56,000 for a fully qualified candidate
• Hybrid working arrangement: 3 days in office, 2 days from home
• 28 days annual leave
• 11% employer pension contribution
