Page Personnel are currently recruiting for a well established Global Bank who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their Finance team based out of their central London office. The role will be based full time on site and will be an opportunity to join a truly successful business offering a varied and progressive role.

Our client is a leading player in the financial services industry, situated in the heart of London and operate globally, across 20 countries alone with a presence in iconic cities such as Pairs.

Description

  • Provide timely reports and data analyses for the Head of Finance, aiding strategic decisions and business oversight.
  • Generate financial insights, including trend and variance analyses, for Board and CEO reports.
  • Perform finance tasks under Head of Finance supervision:
  • Engage with suppliers
  • Maintain asset records, inventories, and depreciation schedules
  • Review bank reconciliations and petty cash transactions
  • Manage prepayments, accruals, invoices, and inter-company accounts
  • Maintain General Ledger, Financial, and Management Accounts, ensuring accurate schedules and journal entries for closing periods.
  • Implement finance strategies aligned with CFO and group goals.
  • Recommend and apply internal controls and processes to optimise operations.
  • Update finance documentation, such as the Procedures Manual, as directed.
  • Prepare audit documentation and address internal/external queries.
  • Compile tax and VAT data for Head of Finance review.
  • Analyse financial data, including performance ratios, to assess business success.
  • Prepare Management and Statutory Accounts, verifying data accuracy.

Profile

The successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • Degree educated - Honours degree level or equivalent qualification.
  • Part/Fully Qual accountant - studying towards full completion for ACCA or CIMA.
  • Member of Professional Accounting Organisation.
  • Experienced in analysing large volumes of data.
  • Exposure to formal / on the job training in the banking sector.
  • Previous experience obtained from the Financial Services industry (Banking preferred).
  • Will to work 5 days a week on site.
