Our client is a market leading International consumer business. To support their growth plans they are now seeking a Financial Accountant to join the team who will report into the Senior Financial Accounting Manager.
The Financial Accountant will work closely with the senior leadership team and the duties will be primarily across financial accounts of the business, management accounts, complex bank reconciliations and VAT reporting requirements. The company operates across three channels and due to this, the role is varied, everchanging and interesting which provides a wide range of regulatory reporting requirements.
You will also be involved in preparing monthly management accounts, budgets for senior management, be proficient in managing forecasting processes for the fixed asset register and business partnering with senior stakeholders. Another key aspect of this role is the ability to complete balance sheet reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner. You will also ensure these aspects are done efficiently and deadlines are adhered to. The successful candidate will also be responsible for completing VAT returns and any other ad-hoc project work in accordance with the Senior Financial Accounting Manager and Financial Controller.
The successful candidate for the Financial Accountant role will be a newly qualified accountant or finalist and have proven experience of working in a fast-paced environment, and preferably have a background within the retail, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors and will be able to combine this attention to detail with strong commercial acumen.
The role will be paying a strong basic salary, bonus and benefits package. Hybrid working is in full operation with offices in London (Zone 1)
