Interim Accountant

- Salary: £350-400/day
We are seeking an Interim Accountant with recent and in-depth knowledge of QuickBooks. This role involves leading the setup of entities and projects in QuickBooks, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Journal posting, and running reports. The successful candidate will also be responsible for training and upskilling the existing finance team on the use of the system. This position reports into the Head of Finance and offers flexible hybrid working arrangements.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead the setup of entities and projects within QuickBooks, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.
- Manage and oversee the creation of P&L statements, Balance Sheets, and Journal postings.
- Run various financial reports to support business decisions.
- Take ownership of training and upskilling the existing finance team, ensuring they are proficient in using QuickBooks.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Finance to align financial management strategies with business objectives.
- Adapt to hybrid working conditions based on business requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accountant with in-depth knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Journal postings.
- Experience in setting up financial entities and projects within accounting software.
- Ability to train and mentor team members on financial systems and processes.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
