Financial Accountant

£55,000 - 60,000 base p.a

City of London, Hybrid

We are currently working with a boutique accountancy and management consulting services firm in the City of London, dedicated to delivering bespoke solutions for investment & asset managers. As part of their continued growth, they are looking for a (newly) qualified Financial Accountant to take ownership of key accounting and reporting operations on behalf of their clients and support business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing annual consolidated financial statements and supporting documentation
  • Produce quarterly consolidated management accounts, reports, and variance analysis
  • Support client year-end external audits and other compliance processes
  • Prepare and review VAT returns
  • Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring swift and accurate payment of invoices
  • Input accounting data accurately and efficiently using systems such as Xero and Clearbooks
  • Perform bank account and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Handle finance-related queries and process property manager reports
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent) Qualified
  • Prior experience working in an accounts/finance team
  • Real estate or accountancy practice experience
  • Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, Clearbooks, and Excel
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to propose and implement process improvements
