We are partnering with a prestigious private equity real estate investment firm with a significant presence across Europe, seeking a Newly Qualified Accountant to join their Corporate Finance Team in London.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual eager to transition from practice and gain invaluable experience in the real estate investment sector.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be overseeing financial reporting and analysis for the firm's UK and overseas corporate entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, identifying insights and improvement areas.
- Reviewing management accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Managing monthly AUM reporting and preparing investor analyses.
- Producing monthly cash flow reports for management entities.
- Developing and maintaining financial forecast models.
- Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements for UK and European entities.
- Managing relationships with service providers such as accountants, tax advisors, and auditors.
- Preparing quarterly recharges and creating detailed technical accounting memos.
Requirements:
- Recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (or related field)
- Experience in audit or financial reporting
- Familiarity with the real estate industry is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modelling and data analysis
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Solid understanding of double-entry accounting principles
