Our Client a Film & Entertainment business seeks an experienced Financial Accountant to join the business on a temporary basis, initially 3 days per week. The Financial Accountant would be a "hands on" individual who has previous experience in the film/entertainment industry, scripted background. This position would suit a candidate who is qualified by experience, has the drive and energy to look at process and streamline.
Duties of the Financial Accountant include:
- Month end for subsidiary businesses
- Implementing process and procedures to streamline the accountancy function
- Assist with the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Production accounting and recharges
- Banking
- Bank reconciliations
- Support cash-flow forecasting by providing accurate reconciled balances.
- Monthly management accounts and commentary
- Producing events weekly comparisons (Actual vs forecast results)
- Processing of relevant journals for month end accounts preparation
- Processing invoices & expenses
- Month end reporting
- Submission and support for VAT returns
- Supporting the Finance Director with ad hoc tasks and production of general financial information
Requirements of the Financial Accountant include:
- Film/Drama accountancy background.
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organised
- Excellent communication skills
- Qualified by experience.
- Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central is advantageous however not essential.
