Financial Accountant | Architectural & Urban Design | £50,000-£60,000 | Central London | Hybrid (3 days in office) | 3 month contract

This is an opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join an international, multi-million turnover architectural and urban design practice, based in Central London, on a 3-month contract. The business has been acquired and you will be supporting with the transition period including playing a key part in the year-end audit.

Reporting to the CFO, working within a finance team of 5 your duties will be varied with a key focus being on supporting with the year-end accounts and audit.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting with acquisition accounting and supporting the CFO with duties relating to this as and when required
  • Playing a key part in the preparation of the statutory accounts
  • Managing payroll reconciliations and journals
  • Handling accruals and journals
  • Dealing with any ad-hoc tasks in preparation for the audit
  • Supporting with the transition of accounts from Xero to Oracle

Skill set required:

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience using Xero who is comfortable with preparing year-end accounts and supporting with audit work. Experience working in the professional services industry /architectural practice experience is desirable but not essential. Experience working with international entities and multiple cost centres is a nice to have.

You will be a self-starter, who is proactive in nature with the ability to use your own initiative. To be considered you must be available to start in January. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, sociable and collaborative environment.
