Robertson Bell are excited to partner with a great social housing organisation to recruit a permanent Financial Accountant. In this role you will be leading in a variety of duties including leading on statutory accounts, working alongside the Assistant Director of Accounting & Controls to prepare financial statements and be a central figure in the auditing process.

In this Financial Accountant role, you will:

  • Take full ownership in completing statutory accounts, ensuring high quality preparation of these documents.
  • Ensure efficiency and improvement of the Accounts Receivable and cash book.
  • Liaise consistently with the Assistant Director of Accounting & Controls and give your opinion on the preparation of the group financial statement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the Audit and Risk Committee to ensure that year end processes run smoothly.
  • Work alongside internal stakeholders and maintain excellent relationships to ensure the smooth flowing of financial information.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong experience within preparing statutory accounts, being able to meld well within the finance team.
  • Worked within a range if different bookkeeping functions and is able to do double entry, reconciliations and maintaining ledgers.
  • Ideally qualification or part qualification in ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
