Pentagon Talent is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a prestigious and rapidly growing law firm in London, for a Financial Accountant to join their dynamic Finance Team in London.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting chance to become an integral part of an ambitious and supportive London based finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in financial and management reporting, gaining invaluable experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. With the firm's continuous expansion, you will also have the opportunity to work on finance-related projects and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities for the Financial Accountant:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&Ls and variance analysis

  • Posting of month-end accounting journals (prepayments, accruals, bad debt provision, etc.)

  • Balance sheet reconciliation and fixed asset register maintenance

  • Preparation of financial KPIs, VAT returns, and ad-hoc financial reports

  • Supporting the LLP's statutory audit and responding to audit queries

  • Assisting with finance system improvements and policy updates

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive individual with a strong problem-solving mindset. The ideal candidate Financial Accountant will have:

  • Newly qualified to 1-year post-qualified (ACA/ACCA)

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Experience in the legal or professional services sector (Law firm or Accountancy Practice)

  • Strong communication skills to liaise with non-finance stakeholders

  • A team-player mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
