Boutique Private Equity Fund

Location: Mayfair, London (Full-time office-based for 3-6 months, then 4 days/week in the office)

Salary: £40,0000 to £50,000 (dependent on relevant experience)

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a boutique private equity firm specialising in global metals and natural resources. This role offers exposure to high-value investments and hands-on involvement in financial reporting within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting - Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and investor reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Valuations & Analysis - Update and reconcile complex financial instruments and valuation statements.
  • Audit & Compliance - Liaise with external auditors to ensure timely, accurate audit completion.
  • Investor Communication - Craft insightful commentary on investment performance and respond to queries on valuations and strategy.
  • Financial Operations - Maintain precise records for investment entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.

About You

Experience & Education

  • Experience in audit, financial services fund accounting, private equity, or asset management.
  • Part Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
  • 2:1 degree or higher (or international equivalent).
  • Excellent academics including GCSE and A Levels

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS (preferred but not essential).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Understanding of private equity structures and financial instruments.

Soft Skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
