Role: Financial Controller

Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts for Directors, providing insightful analysis and variance assessments.
- Lead and manage our Shared Service Centre (SSC) to deliver comprehensive monthly reporting to our parent company, including supplementary analysis and variance evaluations.
- Drive the Revenue recognition process and WIP management, ensuring strict adherence to policies and client agreements.
- Supervise the billing coordinator and ensure seamless monthly billing procedures.
- Collaborate closely with the finance team to develop accurate revenue forecasting models and ensure alignment with client expectations.
- Actively participate in client forecast meetings, contributing insights on project progress and profitability.
- Monitor and optimize rates and efficiency to enhance overall financial performance.
- Ensure full compliance with insurance obligations and oversee efficient query resolution with the SSC.
- Facilitate the timely approval of VAT, Tax, and other statutory returns produced by the SSC.
- Provide direct supervision for a dedicated team member, overseeing recruitment, performance reviews, and training initiatives.
- Manage relationships with the SSC and coordinate external audits with clients.
- Contribute to various ad hoc projects aimed at continuous improvement and innovation.
The Ideal Candidate:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with relevant industry experience
- Financial background in service industry with job costing and time management
- Exposure to US GAAP, SOX, and revenue recognition preferred
- Advanced Excel skills; proficient in Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with AX Dynamics/D365 advantageous
- Strong prioritization and deadline management skills
- Confident in presenting and explaining financial concepts
- Proactive with experience reporting to Board level executives
