Talentedge is working with an award-winning creative agency, a part of one of the leading networks, who are looking for a Financial Controller to join their impressive finance team.

This is the perfect opportunity for an individual looking to take responsibility of a broad finance role and work closely with a host of senior business stakeholders within a rapidly growing business with an excellent work culture with impressive progression and development opportunities.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts for Directors, providing insightful analysis and variance assessments.
  • Lead and manage our Shared Service Centre (SSC) to deliver comprehensive monthly reporting to our parent company, including supplementary analysis and variance evaluations.
  • Drive the Revenue recognition process and WIP management, ensuring strict adherence to policies and client agreements.
  • Supervise the billing coordinator and ensure seamless monthly billing procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the finance team to develop accurate revenue forecasting models and ensure alignment with client expectations.
  • Actively participate in client forecast meetings, contributing insights on project progress and profitability.
  • Monitor and optimize rates and efficiency to enhance overall financial performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with insurance obligations and oversee efficient query resolution with the SSC.
  • Facilitate the timely approval of VAT, Tax, and other statutory returns produced by the SSC.
  • Provide direct supervision for a dedicated team member, overseeing recruitment, performance reviews, and training initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with the SSC and coordinate external audits with clients.
  • Contribute to various ad hoc projects aimed at continuous improvement and innovation.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with relevant industry experience
  • Financial background in service industry with job costing and time management
  • Exposure to US GAAP, SOX, and revenue recognition preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills; proficient in Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with AX Dynamics/D365 advantageous
  • Strong prioritization and deadline management skills
  • Confident in presenting and explaining financial concepts
  • Proactive with experience reporting to Board level executives
