MUST BE AVAILABLE TO START THIS ROLE ON A MAX 6-WEEK NOTICE PERIOD!!Your new company:I am currently recruiting for a Financial Controller role for a Scale-Up Food & Beverage brand. They are a privately-owned business that produces a range of culinary products, having launched their product nationally in many well-known supermarkets and their online platform. They've won prestigious awards for their products and recently partnered with a well-known and established food supplier.Your new roleThey are currently growing their team and now looking for a Financial Controller. This role will also be responsible for future junior hires within the finance function as the company expands. The role liaises closely with the production and sales teams, whilst owning control processes and commercial analysis. This role is granted full financial scope in a close relationship with the Head of Finance, CFO and charismatic MD who is driving the business to embark on further development avenues.Key duties:

  • Manage the Finance Team of 3
  • Monthly Management Accounts preparation, statutory accounts and audit completion.
  • Responsible for the Annual Budgets, ensuring variances to budget are reviewed and actioned
  • Management of cash and working capital across the business through accurate and timely cashflow reporting
  • Working closely with the Sales and Supply team to ensure appropriate reporting and controls are in place
  • System and process improvement

What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate would be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with industry experience, ideally in the food/drinks/FMCG industry. Will also consider experience within Manufacturing / Wholesale / Pharmaceuticals. Exposure to stock & shelf-life consideration is a large advantage for this role. Team management experience is a plus. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO START THIS ROLE BY END OF NOVEMBER 2024.
