A well-established multi-site organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee its financial operations and ensure strong governance. This is a pivotal role responsible for financial compliance, internal controls, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
As Financial Controller, you will:
- Oversee financial reporting, ensuring month-end and year-end processes are accurate and timely.
- Maintain and develop financial policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage audits, acting as the primary contact for internal and external auditors.
- Supervise tax and compliance matters, including VAT, PAYE, and corporation tax submissions.
- Support strategic planning by providing financial analysis and forecasting.
- Manage financial systems, ensuring efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Ensure robust financial controls are in place to safeguard assets and maintain financial integrity.
This role offers, a competitive salary and benefits package with a fully remote contract. The successful Financial Controller will be required to travel to the central London head office three times a year and can expense all travel costs. This role will report into a brilliant Finance Director and joins a newly restructured team, gaining hardworking knowledgeable direct reports.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Have a strong track record in financial control, reporting, and compliance within a multi-site or multi-entity organisation.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and develop a finance team.
- Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Have experience working with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Be confident in using financial systems and advanced Excel for analysis and reporting.
