The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the Group Finance function, focusing on enhancing consolidation reporting and processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards.Responsibilities of the Financial Controller will include, but will not be limited to:
  • Oversee the preparation of the Group's consolidated monthly management accounts
  • Interpret and apply accounting standards (IFRS and UK GAAP) to relevant transactions
  • Prepare accounting papers and maintain Group accounting policies
  • Provide guidance to finance teams and the business on complex accounting matters
  • Lead the Group budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Collaborate with external advisors and auditors on:
    • Audits
    • Tax filings
    • Accounting matters and the implementation of new standards
  • Prepare the Group's consolidated statutory and interim accounts
  • Manage Group VAT compliance and oversee financial systems
  • Supervise the intercompany reconciliation and reporting processes.
  • Support investor reporting and related requirements.
The successful Financial Controller will require the following skills and experience:
  • CA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Proven expertise in navigating technical accounting and statutory reporting requirements, including IFRS and UK GAAP, with a focus on standards such as IFRS 3, 9, 15, and 16
  • Skilled in preparing consolidated and statutory accounts in compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Previous experience in group or multi-entity reporting
  • Proactive self-starter with a curious and analytical mindset
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
