Are you a qualified finance leader with experience of working in a tech focused start-up business?
If so, we are working with a pre-revenue business who are seeking a Financial Controller to run the finances of the business and assist with expansive growth and development plans.
You will be working alongside founders with demonstrable experience of building and selling global tech businesses, with a fantastic opportunity to join their next venture at an early stage.
The role will take care of the top to bottom finances of the business, as well as contributing commercially, and with procurement and negotiation for the business.
The role will pay up to 120k (flexible) + equity in the business. It will initially be based 5 days a week from their office in Central London.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of finance, from bookkeeping and budgeting to financial strategy and reporting.
- Implement and build out financial processes and controls for the business, and ensure tax, legal, and financial compliance in all areas of the business.
- Partner with the founders to provide financial analysis, forecast cash flow, and shape business and pricing strategies as they move to launch.
- Assist with procurement during the R&D phase of the business.
What You’ll Bring:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CA or equivalent).
- Experience working within a startup business, preferably within a tech/software/cloud business.
- Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and accounting knowledge.
- Experience setting up financial controls and processes within a business.
- A can-do attitude, flexible to assisting the business with ad-hoc requirements in its early stage.
- Fantastic interpersonal skills, able to present numbers to non-financial stakeholders and represent the business externally.
