Harmonic are delighted to be working once again with one of the most prominent and exciting fast growth businesses in the Music Industry, in their search for a Financial Controller to join their consistently growing team.

The Business:

The company is associated with some of the world's biggest superstars and frequently feature in Music industry publications. They have interests in both publishing and recorded music and have been building a 'best in class' team since inception. There is a great family feel to the working environment where everyone is deeply passionate about the company and the industry.

With an SLT in place with huge levels of experience in the industry, the company is extremely well-funded and have exciting plans in the future to continue scaling. They are currently on a growth trajectory whereby they will continue to expand, which will mean some great opportunities to progress.

The Role:

Reporting into a talented CFO renowned for their excellent managerial & mentoring skills, the business is looking for an experienced Financial Controller, with a background in building and running financial operations and technical accounting. As the Financial Controller, you will play a critical part in ensuring the business financials run like clockwork.

This will be an essential role in a constantly growing finance function, and will have a high degree of influence and autonomy. It will be a challenging but rewarding role, perfectly suited for an ambitious and experienced individual keen to make a real difference.

Duties:

  • Manage the insourcing of current Finance Operations function
  • Work alongside FP&A Manager on month/quarter end process that delivers accurate management accounts
  • Manage the financial integration and accounting of new acquisitions
  • Line management of junior bookkeeper
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations
  • Preparation of annual statutory financial accounts
  • Treasury & bank management including currency/FX, new bank accounts, intercompany
  • Ensure full tax compliance and reporting across UK and US divisions

What we need to see (essential):

  • ACCA / CIMA / ACA Qualified or Finalist
  • Previous scale up experience

What we'd like to see (bonus):

  • Experience in the music space

Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 + bonus
