Equifindare supporting a recently Private Equity backed SME in the research/data space who are hiring a Financial Controller to report into the CFO. Their global reach enables investment firms to carry our their work in a wide variety of dynamic sectors.

The Company

With a headcount of currently 26, will be rapidly expanding and this is a FC newly created position. Reporting into the CFO, who is BIG 4 trained and comes with a host of PE experience under her belt and recently was in charge through the PE investment stage. She is seeking an up and coming qualified accountant who is ready to step up into this FC role. This hire will make the team three in total.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast paced PE backed environment, where you will have autonomy to put processes in place and streamline the existing ones. The CFO wants someone confident to be able to partner with the C Suite or PE fund on finance queries. This role can grow in to a FD position as the company grows. There will be a lot of PE exposure as the investment matures with a sale on the far horizon. There are a number of projects to get involved in, for example, upgrading the accounting system. The role is broad and varied. A mix of being hands on as well as reviewing. The third member of the team is a PQ Bookkeeper who looks after the transactional elements.

• Financial Reporting & Compliance:

Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

• Budgeting & Forecasting:

Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with the executive team to align with company financial objectives.

• Month-End Consolidation:

Lead the multi-entity, multi-currency month-end consolidation and close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Cash Flow Management:

Ensure effective capital allocation and monitor liquidity to support business operations.

• Internal Controls:

Implement and maintain robust internal controls to protect company assets.

• Financial Analysis:

Provide detailed financial analysis to inform strategic decisions and drive growth initiatives.

• Process Improvement:

Optimize financial systems and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

• Tax Compliance:

Collaborate with external tax advisers to ensure compliance with indirect taxes and mitigate potential risks.

• Corporate Provider Relationship Management:

Oversee and manage relationships with external corporate service providers, ensuring they meet the company's operational and strategic needs.

• New Systems Implementation:

Lead the successful implementation and integration of a new finance systems.

Requirements

• Ideally 5 years+ PQE experience

• Experience a PE backed firm OR knowledge of ARR/Subscription based model

• Positive and proactive nature

• Ability to deal with senior stakeholders
