Financial Controller | Flexible, hybrid working arrangements | £75 - 85k plus excellent benefits
Communicate is working with a Start-Up consumer goods and foods business.
Key responsibilities will include:
Hands-on management of business accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash and the general ledger
- Prepare regular multi-currency cash flow forecasts
- Review monthly payroll (prepared by external partner), prepare VAT returns and reconciliations, prepare corporate tax provisions, monitor transfer pricing
- Prepare monthly IFRS financial reporting and half-yearly financial disclosures
- Prepare annual financial statements and manage a smooth external audit process
- Ad hoc accounting, reporting and analysis for the business, for Group finance, and for statistics
- Understand the financial performance of the business, and use it to bring insight and opportunities to the business
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with business leaders and colleagues within the business unit
Candidates will:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA),
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Finance Manager or similar
- Proven experience within the FMCG space
- Ability to work in a start up environment
- Experience with general ledger functions, managing month end close processes and working to tight timetables
- Strong Excel skills (regular usage of pivot tables, XLookUp, SumIfs, SumProduct, etc.
Based in central London, the business have a very flexible working policy with minimal office presence required (2-3 days). This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong accounting background that is not afraid of senior role and playing an integral part in future growth.
