We are partnered with a historical landmark charity situated in Central London on the search for a Financial Controller on a full time basis. We are searching for a qualified accountant who is available to start a new role no later than Monday 27th January 2025. Hybrid working is available with 2 or 3 days per week working from home.

The successful post holder will manage the day-to-day finance operations, manage tax compliance and co-ordination of all aspects of year-end, from liaising with the auditors to the creation of the statutory accounts. In addition to financial operations, they will also manage, develop and motivate a team of five.

The successful candidate will be very comfortable with year-end processes and most importantly, will possess statutory accounts preparation experience gained from either: audit; an accounting firm; or a charity, public sector or similar organisation and hold a professional accounting qualification. They must be comfortable leading on and researching technical areas of accounting. It would be preferable if they have up to date knowledge of tax, including PAYE, gift aid and VAT. To be considered for this role, you must be available to start ASAP. This role will initially be temporary for circa 6 months with the view to become permanent thereafter.
