Financial ControllerLondon: Hybrid (3 days in office)  We are partnering with a London headquartered FinTech, with a very exciting opportunity to join the team as Financial Controller. The business is a true disruptor and redefining their industry, becoming one of the fastest growing companies in the last 3 years and they have some interesting plans in the next couple of years, so it’s a really great time to join the business.  The Role: Financial ControllerThis is a pivotal role, reporting directly to the VP of Finance, with responsibility for managing financial operations, ensuring robust financial controls, and supporting strategic objectives. You will collaborate across departments to enhance financial alignment and drive the integrity of key processes. Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing monthly board and management information (MI) packs.
  • Overseeing the accuracy of management accounts and providing guidance on complex transactions.
  • Acting as the primary contact for external auditors and ensuring smooth audit processes.
  • Supporting the preparation of the annual report and aligning financial narratives.
  • Reviewing and ensuring consistency of KPI calculations and internal reporting frameworks.
  • Partnering with Strategic Finance and FP&A teams to achieve company goals.
  • Collaborating with the treasury function to manage cash flow effectively.
  • Leading automation projects and developing financial reporting controls.
  • Developing and maintaining an up-to-date accounting policy manual.
  • Mentoring and developing the finance team.
  The Ideal Candidate:
  • Full professional qualification (ACA, ACCA).
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS (IFRS 2, IFRS 9); familiarity with US GAAP is a plus.
  • Experience in FinTech or Financial Services, ideally within FCA-regulated environments.
  • Technical expertise in advanced Excel; experience with SQL, NetSuite, or Python is advantageous.
  • A track record of successfully managing, mentoring, and developing teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • A proactive approach and a knack for working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
