Client Details
An AIM listed business is looking for an experience Financial Controller to lead on their newly acquired entity. The group has a portfolio of manufacturing businesses focused in the scientific/ medical space - using their impressive portfolio, they are a 1 stop shop for all of their clients needs from start to finish.
Description
- Manage all finance and accounting operations for UK and US entities
- Prepare and publish financial statements
- Lead on month-end & year-end closing
- Manage a small team of 2-3 individuals
- Liaise with Auditors, manage the audit process
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
- Maintain quality controlls over financial transactions and reporting
- prepare and review reconciliations & inter-company balances
- Quarterly VAT returns and manage payroll using Sage payroll
- Extra ad-hoc responsibilities as and when necessary
Profile
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or overseas equivalent)
- Background in manufacturing would be ideal but not necessary
- Strong leadership skills, experience managing a small team
- Proficient with general ledger functions/ end-to-end accounting process
- Immediately available
- familiarity with systems such as: Epicor, QuickBooks, and Sage
Job Offer
- Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 p/a (based on experience level)
- Hybrid working (1 day from home)
- Exposure to a rapidly growing business, potential to expand remit after contract expires
- March start
