Duties:
- Take the lead in initiating change in processes and systems implementation.
- Performing month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and coordinating and assigning duties to the accounting teams as needed.
- Preparation of variance analysis on both the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
- Evaluating departmental performance and making adjustments to daily operations when needed to ensure the department meets overall goals and objectives.
- Responsible for maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accurate and reliable information.
- Ensure the financial processes are robust, with appropriate controls and reconciliations.
- Management and timely closure of both internal and external audits.
- Proposing solutions to streamline current processes/activities.
- Overseeing and supporting the preparation and review of account reconciliations.
- Reviewing and approving Journal Entries.
- Partnering with the Business to accomplish key objectives and KPIs.
- Ensuring statutory filings and audits are completed timely.
- Completing of all tax returns, including but not limited to corporation tax, VAT returns and transfer pricing, working closely with external tax advisors and tax department.
- Proven experience in driving change and process improvements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Experience within a finance function, operating in a financial controller role
- Ideally have experience within manufacturing or FMCG industries
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong influencing skills
- Excellent attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and quality
