We’re searching for a meticulous and experienced Financial Controller to take charge of financial operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to corporate standards.About the RoleThe ideal candidate will bring robust experience in financial management, accounting, and compliance, and excel in cross-departmental collaboration.Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate completion of month-end processes within corporate deadlines, including accruals, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Compile and submit monthly corporate finance reports, management packs, and variance analysis on cash flow and P&L.
  • Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecast preparations.
  • Develop and present dashboards for performance visibility against key KPIs.
  • Monitor and report on investment-related financials, assessing KPI performance.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
  • Collaborate with Production and Tax Teams for HMRC tax credit submissions.
  • Maintain a strong control framework, designing approval mechanisms for key commercial decisions and managing RTR, PTP, and OTC controls.
  • Manage and develop the Management Accountant, promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Assist the Head of Finance with production finance oversight.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and proper tax credit structures.
  • Provide additional support to the CFO on commercial, financial, and internal control matters.
Skills:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with post-qualification experience.
  • Extensive experience in preparing statutory accounts and audit files, with a strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Capable of functioning at both senior and hands-on financial levels.
  • Familiarity with SAP, A4O, BPC, and HFM reporting tools.
  • Previous experience in media or music sectors.
  • Experience managing outsourced RTR and PTP functions.
