As they continue to expand their portfolio, they are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to drive their financial strategy and support their ambitious growth.

Role Overview:As the Financial Controller, you will shape the company’s financial direction, leading a growing finance team. Your responsibilities will include preparing management accounts, managing forecasts, and ensuring compliance, with a strong focus on strategic initiatives that align with the company’s expansion in the property market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Drive the preparation of management accounts and comprehensive board report schedules, providing actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Spearhead the development of forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and market trends in the real estate sector.
  • Revenue Management: Oversee revenue recognition processes for property transactions and rental income, supported by meticulous documentation to maximise financial performance.
  • Investor Relations: Facilitate reporting to private equity partners and investors, fostering transparency and trust with key stakeholders.
  • Cash Flow Management: Provide weekly updates on working capital, including cash flow, accrued revenue, and debtor performance, to ensure financial stability.
  • Compliance: Manage tax obligations such as PAYE, VAT, and corporation tax, along with annual returns, statutory accounts preparation, and audit processes.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to refine financial reporting mechanisms and operational processes across the organisation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, ideally within the real estate or property sector.
  • Fully qualified with ACA, CIMA, or ACCA accreditation.
  • Experience in investor reporting and stakeholder management is advantageous.
  • Strong financial modelling and Excel skills, enabling precise forecasting and data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a collaborative approach.
