Financial Controller – £60,000 to £67,000 DOE + Bonus + Benefits

South Leicester - easily commutable from Coventry, Daventry, Hinckley and Loughborough.

Are you a qualified and experienced finance professional looking to step into a leadership role within a dynamic and fast-growing SME? We’re recruiting for a Financial Controller on behalf of an ambitious Leicester-based business that is experiencing exceptional growth and offers a clear route to becoming Finance Director within five years.

The Opportunity
This fully office-based role offers the chance to head up a finance team, taking ownership of the day-to-day management of the department while working closely with the part-time FD. You’ll have the autonomy to implement changes and drive improvements, ensuring the finance function delivers accurate and timely data to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing cash flow, debtors, and currency, and detailed forecasting.
• Delivering robust financial data, including gross margin and project performance analysis.
• Driving efficiency improvements across processes and controls.
• Overseeing payroll, tax submissions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Mentoring and developing the finance team.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with a manufacturing SME background.
• Strong knowledge of BOMs, gross margins, and stock management.
• Experience of leading a team as a Finance Manager, Head of Finance or Financial Controller previously
• Resilient, even-tempered, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
