Equifind have partnered with a global fintech firm to assist them with their search for a group financial controller to join the team in London. This will be to start right away and is earmarked for three to six months.

Key duties and responsibilities for this financial controller position include but limited to:

  • Manage the operational daily duties for the UK team which includes cash management, VAT returns, HMRC reporting, intercompany billing, and payments
  • Be responsible for the statutory audits and liaise with other entities for the group consolidation
  • Prepare the financial statements for the group
  • Responsible for all UK tax compliance with respect to VAT, corporation tax and other required fillings
  • Prepare the London branch budgets and forecasts for the year
  • Take a lead role in projects relating to new system implementation for the business
  • Design and implement a robust financial framework to support and automate financial reporting and Management information
  • Own the preparation of the annual report, monthly consolidated financial statements and monthly board packs
  • Manage the regulatory reporting across a number of different branches and regulators
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Ad hoc projects as and when requested by senior management

Experience & Qualifications

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 8-12 years PQE
  • Experience of reporting under FRS102 and IFRS is beneficial
  • Experience of fintech or financial services
  • Experience of managing teams is a must
  • Experience of multiple reporting systems
  • Strong communication & excel skills

About the business

The business is a strong player in the fintech space and has grown considerably over the past five years. You will be involved in a very dynamic business that will provide you with a varied role.

With offices all over the world you will be joining an international business that is at the forefront of its sector. The finance team has over 25 so you will interact with many on a daily basis, where strong communication will be key.

For this role, you will lead and work closely with a team of financial accountants and be the right hand of the CFO, assisting with the month end reporting, in addition to any ad hoc projects that come up. This will be a full-on opportunity that isn't for someone looking for an easy ride.

You will be required to be office-based four days per week with Fridays being WFH. This is to drive the team and get maximum results, so you must enjoy being in a busy office environment.

Rate/Salary

This exciting opportunity for a financial controller will pay between £550-£700 per day, depending on industry background and experience.

We are interviewing at once, so only candidates available immediately or on one weeks' notice, as we want someone to start early January.
