An exciting new role has arisen with a global organisation combining two entities - an NGO and a commercial body - both focussed on influencing the private sector in combatting the climate crisis. The position of Financial Controller will oversee a small finance team of three and be responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective month-end process is in place, while assisting with the financial set-up of new products for the organisation. This is a remote role, with occasional meetings in London and Europe required, and offers a salary of up to £85,000 per annum and excellent benefits including 30 days' annual leave (plus the time in between Christmas and New Year off) and an 8% employer pension contribution.
As the Financial Controller your role will involve:
- Leading on monthly management accounts production and all relevant reconciliations
- Work to improve the month-end reporting process
- Managing and mentoring the AP Officer, AR Officer and Finance Officer
- Leading on year-end accounts preparation and acting as the main point of contact for the annual audit

The ideal Financial Controller will:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Have extensive experience either within a technically-focussed role within the charity sector or having previously audited charities
- Be a strong mentor who can help guide and develop less experienced staff members
- Be passionate about the fight against climate change and the work of this organisation
