We are seeking a driven and experienced Financial Controller to join our central finance team, which supports multiple countries across Northern Europe.This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Financial Controller looking to advance their career within a dynamic and fast-growing global organization based in City of London.

This will be a 4x day a week in the office role.

Financial Controller Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting and tax functions across multiple entities.
  • Lead the implementation of a new accounting system, including team training.
  • Manage monthly payroll reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees and HMRC.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and oversee intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure financial records comply with IFRS standards.
  • Supervise and oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage cash flow, debt, and debt collection processes.
  • Lead and support a team of 10 finance professionals.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, including both direct and indirect taxes.
  • Provide support to the Senior Transactional Controller on various financial tasks as needed.
  • Ensure strong financial controls and processes are in place for efficiency and compliance.
  • Support the implementation of JD Edwards, the new accounting system.

Financial Controller Skills & Experience:

  • Ambitious professional seeking career growth in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Strong academic background, with a professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial data analysis.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven, with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to manage and analyze large data sets while handling multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-evolving and high-growth setting.
  • Understanding of working within a Private Equity (PE) environment and a performance-focused organization.
