Altum Consulting is proud to be partnering with a leading health charity dedicated to funding research, providing support, and advocacy for health conditions that affect millions. The organisation is seeking a Financial Controller to join its high-performing finance function during an exciting period of stability and development. This is a permanent role, offering a salary of £65,000 per annum, with hybrid working (2 days per week in the London office).
As the Financial Controller, your role will involve:- Leading all financial accounting activities, including accounts payable, receivables, and cash management.
- Overseeing the production of statutory accounts and managing the annual audit (June year-end).
- Providing leadership and support to a small finance team, ensuring strong financial controls and effective operations.
- Maintaining compliance with financial regulations and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Supporting the ongoing finance system upgrade and contributing to process improvements.
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Have proven expertise in financial accounting, statutory reporting, and leading audits.
- Be a strong people manager with experience leading finance teams.
- Be confident in working autonomously, maintaining financial stability through a leadership transition.
