We are looking for a Financial Controller or Finance Director from an SME background, with a proven track record of building Finance Functions and improving processes, to join a fast growing, privately owned, Managed Cloud Solutions company as a Financial Controller. This position will report directly into CFO of the business, and you will be tasked with Automation, Transformation, Process Improvement and system improvement. Paying between £100-£130k, this role is based in North London and will be office based 3 days a week, with the remaining 2 days being WFH.

The Role

  • You will lead a team of 7, with 2 direct reports under your supervision.
  • This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to work closely with the senior leadership team, contributing to the company's strategic vision and decision-making process.
  • Support the annual audit process, ensuring all required documentation is available for review.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance.
  • Oversee the integrity of financial control systems, including periodic balance sheet reviews and risk management.
  • Oversee the month-end reporting process, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of P&L and associated commentary on business performance.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning to ensure business stability.
  • Prepare detailed department-specific budget variance reports for department heads, recommending corrective measures where required.

Your Profile

  • You will need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, CA, CIMA or ACCA)
  • Prior experience in an FD, FC or Head of Finance Capacity in a Medium/Small sized organisation is essential.
  • Prior experience with Building Finance functions, improving processes, automation, transformation and system improvement is essential.
